We have an exciting opportunity within State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) for the role of Principal Injury Coding Advisor within the Data Analysis & Reporting team.
The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert and a key member of the team, providing internal and external advice to lead and facilitate consistent and accurate coding. Through better injury data coding you will assist in driving better claims monitoring, claimant outcomes, risk management and overall CTP scheme performance within a regulatory and compliance framework.
The role will give you the ability to shape and improve the scheme. You will be promoting better practice, setting standard and provide solution focused outcomes and enabling the ability to draw better insights from complex injury and claims data.
Provide subject matter advice to lead and facilitate consistent and accurate injury coding by insurers using Abbreviated Injury Scale.
Provide expert advice to insurers to improve data coding use and processes in the CTP scheme.
Develop data coding standards and promote the value of data to support evidence based decision making, analysis and reporting.
Oversee end-to-end use of injury data to align with legislative requirements and AIS coding principles
Undertake regular audits of injury data and provide recommendations of corrective actions
Provide technical leadership in relation to data coding and information management recommendations and information technology governance activities
Lead and contribute to a program of continuous professional development of self and staff, mentoring, assessing skills against the requirements of the assigned and future roles and identifying the learning and development needs of the team.
Lead change to enable more agile, digital, and quality data-driven services.
Understanding the perspectives and needs of a diverse range of stakeholders to develop optimum client relationships and improvements, ensure compliance with agreements/services and regulatory standards
Managing client and stakeholder communications, balancing competing demands and coordinating agreed and preferred models to meet business plans in a dynamic regulatory environment
Keeping abreast of emerging trends and coding processes to ensure legislative requirements are met.
Candidates must have
Abbreviated Injury Scale experience is a must
Strong stakeholder management skills
Experience in presenting data and articulating data sets into simple usable terminology
CTP knowledge will be advantageous
