Salary Grade 9/10 maximum salary package up to $128,760 Package includes salary $105,409 – $116,157] and employer’s contribution to superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience.
Job Status: Temporary under the Government Sector Employment Act 2013.
Full time – Temporary (Parental leave relief for 12 months with a possibility of extension up to 2 years)

The successful candidate will report to the Director, Advisory and Reviews in the Technical Advisory Services branch and be responsible for analysing complex transactions involving the application and interpretation of State Taxation legislation, as well as providing general technical advice and support on matters that impact policy, legislation, client education and business rules.
The successful candidate will also be required to liaise with the Crown Solicitor’s Office and Barristers in relation to Court and Tribunal matters.
We are seeking an experienced professional who has a working knowledge of State Tax legislation, particularly Payroll Tax, who can influence and negotiate at all levels. Additionally the successful candidate will need to be a superior communicator with the ability to review and prepare briefs and affidavits and attend conferences with legal representatives. The ability to analyse Court and Tribunal judgments and make recommendations on the implications of such judgments will be highly regarded.
