As a mid-weight CX/UX Researcher you will contribute uncovering strategic customer insights that help Tyro innovate, design and create customer centric solutions which deliver against commercial outcomes. Your scope will include research across all of Tyro in relation to understanding the customer experience.
As mid-weight CX/UX researcher, you will be asked to understand business and customer goals for the continuous development of products and services; engaging in customer experience research for various teams across Tyro; working with other researchers and designers in driving a customer centric approach to research and design; conducting sound research which optimises the return of customer research investment; and collaborating with business units to ensure successful and consistent understanding and delivery of products and features.
You will be reporting to the Senior CX Researcher within the Digital Channels unit of our Product department.
Conduct user and customer experience research in Product and other departments as needed
Consult best-practices and research colleagues to design and have sound knowledge about selecting research methods
Proficiently conduct usability testing, interviews and contextual inquiries, surveys or other methods
Execute research projects in a timely manner
Practice valid and reliable data collection
Proficiently combine analytics with other data types
Identify key insights and nuances as they relate to the research question or team needs, then report and socialise findings through effective presentation
Run collaborative and engaging workshops as needed
Communicate complex ideas, goals and problems in an accessible way even to those not involved in projects
Communicate with colleagues using a shared language
Actively seek assistance and guidance and provide feedback in good faith including constructive critiques, retrospectives, or informally
Contribute to culture by brining great ideas and sharing them with the team and wider company.
Approximately 3-5 years of experience in qualitative and quantitative research of which minimum of 2 years of customer or user experience research
Tertiary education in Psychology, Social or Behavioural Sciences, human factors or anthropology a plus
Experience in financial services or other regulated industries a plus
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships across the business to achieve joint goals
Demonstrated successful delivery of research projects
Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent initiatives
