At RBA, the Information Technology Department supports the Bank's policy, operational and corporate objectives by providing strategic IT direction and also ensures industry-leading resilience in internal applications and critical systems that support payments, banking and financial markets. Currently, the IT Department is seeking an enthusiastic, articulate and reliable Senior Developer (BI) to provide specialised application development skills for the implementation of technology solutions
About the Role:
Work with business stakeholders to identify their current and potential requirements.
Provide advice and technology solutions to support the Bank's business and enterprise architecture.
Analyse, design, develop, test and document applications using agreed enterprise standards, processes and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result.
Create processes, security measures, standards and best practices aimed at enhancing the availability, security and performance of applications in Policy and Market departments.
Support production systems by problem resolution and system enhancement.
Write documentation and provide progress reports to management.
Undertake relevant research including the evaluation of new software, tools and techniques ensuring fit to the Bank's enterprise architecture and standards.
As directed, lead small project teams and coordinate the efforts of other groups.
Provide advice, guidance and assistance to less experienced colleagues as required.

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience working in a similar role and proven experience in database, data warehouse, data mart and their respective security design, development and deployment using Datastage, Microsoft SQL Server and BI technologies.. You will be able to translate information policy, procedures and standards into a working DW/BI solution and have a history of generating effective solutions with minimal supervision and assistance. You will have strong working knowledge of Relational Database Systems, Transact-SQL and data warehousing principles and methodologies. Knowledge of data analysis and modelling techniques, data transformation techniques, Online Transactional Processing (OLTP) and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) will also be key to your success in this role.
Employment will be offered under a fixed term employment arrangement running for a period of 12 months.
