Equities Technology Project Manager

The Equities Technology team is responsible for the development and support of applications used by AU Institutional Equities Business. The project manager reports to the regional PMO lead as well as the head of AU Markets Technology. The role is responsible for delivery of software solutions to the Equities business

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a diverse project and application set and will have the opportunity to further develop business, technical and industry knowledge

The role requires a high degree of collaboration with Equities technology teams both onshore and offshore, as well as with other technology departments, such as Infrastructure (CTI)

The role will suit a professional, self-motivated, adaptable and well organized software development project manager with attention to detail
Project Management:
Successfully manage multiple end-to-end solutions to the business
Create and execute project plans and revise, as appropriate, to meet changing needs and requirements
Work with Equities Team Leaders to identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
Manage clients’ expectations by providing timely and accurate reporting
Work with technical resources to create all project artefacts
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope
Minimize exposure and risk on projects
Identify issues and manage them to conclusion or escalate appropriately
Work with testing team to ensure a quality of delivery
Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
Provide weekly reporting on projects progress
Provide ad hoc reporting on projects to regional, global and internal client stakeholders
Vendor management, in particular the ASX (ordering of services, point of contact for meetings)
Financial:
Assist Team Leaders with resource planning and forecasting
Be proficient in the PM tracking tool to ensure projects are raised in a timely manner as well as ensuring project resources book time correctly
Work with offshore FINCON teams to produce accurate and up-to-date data for the AU organisational
Manage invoicing of the major vendors (reconcile invoices and organise payment)
COB Coordinator:
Perform the duties of the COB (continuity of business) coordinator for Markets Technology
Work with the technology teams to ensure COB compliance across all applications
QA Coordinator:
Manage the QA testing for the Equities technology teams
Coordinate testing using the two resources in the local and regional QA teams
Compliance Responsibilities:
Comply with the ethical standards contained in the Citigroup Code of Conduct
Adhere to firm policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements

Qualifications

Key Competencies/Skills:
Technical/Specialist skills/Competencies:
Experience in the project management area, including a familiarity with Project Management tools and frameworks
Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies including associated software development life-cycles
Knowledge of Institutional Equities Business processes
Experience/understanding of technology concepts, practices and frameworks would be advantageous
Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects

Qualifications/Experience Required:
Tertiary qualifications in IT and/or Finance
PMI qualifications and/or other formal project management training
Proven track record of successful delivery of medium/large size projects
